Midwest Recruiters is actively seeking a dedicated and proficient Project/Operations Manager to reinforce our client’s team stationed in Rochester Hills, MI. This role demands a strategic leader committed to delivering operational excellence in the manufacturing sector.

Job Overview

This key role aims to manage the streamlined delivery of specialized capital equipment directly to our client’s customerss, ensuring both product quality and adherence to delivery timelines. The position is pivotal in reinforcing our commitment to operational success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Command the complete cycle of equipment production, from the initial engineering design phase through to installation and commissioning at client sites.
  • Develop comprehensive project timelines, ensure critical milestones are achieved, and maintain fiscal oversight.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, track project milestones, and report on progress to senior management.

Procurement & Manufacturing:

  • Oversee the procurement of all necessary components, ensuring specifications, quality, and delivery timelines meet project requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to define product specifics and oversee the manufacturing schedule to guarantee seamless production flow.

Installation & Commissioning:

  • Collaborate with field service teams and act as the primary point of contact for customers during the equipment installation phase.
  • Provide expert technical support during the commissioning of systems, ensuring operational configurations and performance standards are met.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:

  • Direct operations teams, championing accountability, and fostering a proactive workplace culture.
  • Engage constructively with all project stakeholders to forge robust partnerships and facilitate cohesive project execution.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously seek enhancements in operational processes by engaging with engineering and quality assurance teams to refine products and techniques.

 

Targeted Candidate Profile:

  • Education & Experience:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in a manufacturing or related technical environment are critical.
  • Skills, Competencies, & Qualities:
  • 5+ years of project management skills, adept at steering complex projects from initiation to fruition.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills, vital for both team leadership and client interactions.
  • A proactive problem-solver, quick to address and adept at resolving challenges, ensuring the team remains focused and efficient.

Compensation & Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include: Health, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k w/ match, and paid time off.
